We are proud and excited to organize the third edition of the Dardanelles Cup, a championship that grows and strengthens its international profile every year.

Welcome to the 3rd International Dardanelles Cup Karate Championship, taking place on 14–15 November 2026 in Çanakkale, a city of history and victories.

As Çanakkale Geçilmez and Biga Geçilmez Sports Clubs, we are delighted to host athletes, coaches and members of the karate community coming from different countries and cities.

With its unique history stretching from Troy to the Çanakkale Wars, Çanakkale is a symbol of courage, struggle and unity. Karate's values of discipline, respect and determination meeting in this special city gives the Dardanelles Cup a meaning of its own.

We wish everyone an unforgettable championship built on the unifying power of sport, fair play and friendship, and success to all participants.

Mission

To give athletes a genuine international competition experience, following WKF rules, while introducing Çanakkale's historical and cultural values to the world — and to build bonds between clubs and nations that outlast a single weekend.

  • Bring athletes from different age groups together in individual kata, individual kumite and team kata competitions.
  • Strengthen national and international sporting ties.
  • Contribute to athletes' technical and mental development.
  • Offer a high-level competition experience under WKF rules.
  • Give participants the chance to discover Çanakkale's unique historical and cultural heritage.

Categories

Competitions are held under WKF (World Karate Federation) rules across the 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, 11, 12 and 13 age categories, plus Cadets, Juniors, Seniors and Veterans. Exact weight brackets and team kata categories are published in the official bulletin ahead of each edition.

THE STORY

Unforgettable Moments from the Dardanelles Cup

The first edition, held on 15–17 November 2024, and the second, on 14–16 November 2025, brought together athletes from different countries and cities on the same tatami in Çanakkale for two years running.

Close contests, great excitement, lasting friendships and unforgettable moments — the Dardanelles Cup keeps growing every year on its way to becoming one of the international karate world's key meeting points.

Now it's time for the third gathering: on 14–15 November 2026, the 3rd International Dardanelles Cup returns to Çanakkale, the city of history and victories. Third time. Stronger. Bigger. More unforgettable.
